Dreamers are young people who grew up in the United States after being brought here illegally as children or infants. Trump has said he was willing to negotiate with Democrats in order to allow them to stay.

On September 15, Donald Trump tweeted that any deal with the passage of any DACA legislation must not include “chain migration.” Chain migration is when relatives of a person who moves to another country or city move along with that person. In the context of DACA, Trump is saying that he opposes anything language that allows relatives of DREAMers to immigrate to the United States.
